News - parkrun Needs You In Gravesend

parkrun LogoUntil now parkrun in Kent east of the M25 has been limited to the popular Whitstable event, set-up in 2010. Now enthusiasts in the Gravesend area are hoping to stage a weekly free 5k event at Shorne Woods Country Park. Volunteers are now being sought to make the event a reality.

News - Mastering Malta

Malta Marathon RunnersIf you fancy escaping the British winter for a run in sunnier climes, next year's Land Rover Malta marathon on 23 February presents a great opportunity. The event includes a full marathon, half marathon and a walkathon option.

Situated just 58 miles south of Sicily, Malta's mild February weather is conducive to a fast race time as are the downhill routes (200m drop in the marathon). The marathon starts outside Malta's old capital Medina, and takes in the famous town of Mosta as well as passing through current capital, Valetta.

News - Playing Fifa Showed Mo Was Ready

Mo Farah GrinMo Farah's coach, Alberto Salazar, has revealed the moment he knew the 29-year-old was ready for his shot at Olympic glory. Salazar recalls that whilst at a high-altitude training camp in the Pyrenees, Farah and his training partner, Galen Rupp, showed more interest in playing a computer game than taking part in their final major track session.
