News - Right Time For A Resolution

Resolution RunRunners are being asked to raise money for the Stroke Association by taking part in one of 18 fundraising races across the UK this spring. The Resolution Runs take place from Exeter to Aberdeen and most major cities in between, including London's Regent's Park, Warwick Castle, Manchester's Heaton Park and Glasgow's Bellahouston Park.

News - parkrun New Year Record Double

parkrun logoWhen those 13 pioneers turned up at Bushy Park in south-west London in October, 2004 they can hardly have imagined that they were in at the start of something that would turn into a national (make that an international) phenomenon. And following 8 years of incredible growth for the free weekly 5k run, the pathfinders at Bushy Park provided the first big parkrun story of the year.

When Fauja Singh completed the Toronto Marathon he was 100 years old. By covering the 26.2 miles, he set a new Guinness World Record, surpassing Greek runner Dimitrion Yordanidis, who completed the 1976 Athens Marathon at the age of 98!
