News - International Flavour At Kent Roadrunner Marathon

Kent Roadrunners Marathon FlyerKent hosts a marathon with a difference on Saturday (1 June) when the the second annual Roadrunner Marathon takes place at the Cyclopark, near Maidstone. This year's event has attracted a sell-out line-up of entrants from as far as Belgium, Nigeria and even Japan. Cyclopark, the largest cycling venue in Europe, includes a 2.5km smooth tarmac circuit and Kent Roadrunner Marathon sees runners attempt 17 laps of the circuit.

News - Free Places For First Timers

BUPA My First RunThousands of first time runners are being offered free race places by Bupa as part of its quest to inspire more people in the UK to be physically active. There are 2,000 free race places being offered across the Bupa Great Run 5K events, which includes the Great Edinburgh 5K (14 July), the Great North 5K (14 September) and the Great South 5K (26 October).

Kent Roadrunner marathon returns for a second year on Saturday following the success of the inaugural event. The marathon makes use of the 2.5km smooth tarmac cycling track so expect sweeping bends, gentle slopes and absolutely no traffic! On Sunday runners at Braishfield 5 Mile Beer Race will be rewarded for their efforts with - you guessed it - a thirst quenching pint of beer. This is subject to participants being 18 or over of course!
