News - GB Announce Team For World Trail Champs

Lee KempBritish Athletics has announced a full team of 12 athletes for the forthcoming IAU Trail World Championships, which take place in Llanwrst, Wales, on Saturday 6 July. After winning the UK Trail Championships, which were incorporated into the HOKA Highland Fling 53 back in April, Lee Kemp leads the British charge at this event.

So far, sunglasses are leading in the poll with 34.3% of the vote. Coming in second is a water bottle, with sunscreen as the third most essential piece of kit.

There's a great selection of 10ks this weekend with events in Kent, Hampshire, Richmond, Battersea and the Isle of Wight. For those who like more of a challenge, the first race of The Hurt triathlon series starts on Saturday. The Hurt claims to be 'the most challenging 12k and 24k trail run in the South East' and follow routes through the pine forest and up and down valleys of the the Hurtwood.
