News - Running Boom Continues In Kent

Many of the new participants have progressed from walking to completing 5k races and beyond.

News - Hillingdon Set For Half Marathon

Hillingdon Half LogoThe west London borough of Hillingdon is set to host a half marathon next spring as mass participation running returns to the area. The 13.1mile event will take place on March 23 next year, starting and finishing at Brunel University near Uxbridge.

Poll - Running Apps, Your Views

GPS timepieces are proving to be the most popular gadget to run with, clocking up 55.6% of the vote. Meanwhile, 25.9% of voters use a running app, and 9.3% rely on nothing but a faithful stopwatch to time their runs.

Race Listings

Beddington Park 10kLast weekend's race results are now available online at southernrunningguide.com. Check out the results and upcoming events on our race listing page.

Anyone looking to enter a 10k this weekend in the Greater London area is spoiled for choice with events in Wallington, Wimbledon Common and Richmond. There is also a MoRun 10K in Milton Keynes. If relay races are more your thing, Sunday's The Three Molehills is billed as a 'relay with a difference'. Starting and finishing at Denbies Wine Estate, teams of three compete over the three hills in the Mole Valley; Box Hill, Norbury Park and Ranmore. If you are feeling particularly brave you can do the whole thing either as a pair (one person will run two legs) or by yourself!
