News - Rocky Road Runners

Rocky Runners150 runners went for a Sly run in Philadelphia last Saturday (7 December) as they recreated one of the most iconic running scenes in cinema history. The Rocky 50K is an ultra run that follows the course Sylvester Stallone's character, Rocky Balboa, takes in the 1979 film Rocky II.

News - Thousands Sign Up For Jantastic

Jantastic LogoThere's just three weeks until running challenge Jantastic returns to help runners beat the winter blues. Over 5,000 people have already signed up for the challenge, set up three years ago by Martin Yelling and Tom Williams - presenters of popular podcast Marathon Talk - and aimed at keeping runners on track through a personal online profile.

News - Early Discount For Paris

Paris MarathonThere is still time to take advantage of the early bird entry fee for next year's Paris Marathon. Around 50,000 runners from 100 nations are expected to take part in the race on 6 April 2014.

Poll - Festive Running Your Approach

Snow RunThis month we want to know what your running schedule over the festive period looks like.

So far 63.4% of people have said that they keep their schedule much the same, 19.5% say they cut down their mileage and 9.8% say they cross-train at the gym or pool.

Race Listings

Portsmouth Coastal Waterside Marathon RunnerLast weekend's race results are now available online at southernrunningguide.com. Check out the results and upcoming events on our race listing page.

The 8th Christmas Pudding Dash takes place on Saturday. Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate Christmas attire to 'make Santa really proud'. The two lap multi-terrain 5-mile race is set in the grounds of Ashburnham Place.

Keeping with the festive theme, the Kent Christmas Cracker on Sunday is also a two lap 5-mile race, taking place in Fowlmead Country Park. The course incorporates the flat surface of the tarmac purpose-built cycling track to ensure a fast time. Also on Sunday is the fourth Portsmouth Coastal Waterside Marathon. The marathon takes runners from South Parade Pier to the end of the Hayling Billy line before going back to the start with fantastic views across Langstone Harbour.
