News - Run For Your Wife

Wife Carrying Runners

The 7th annual UK Wife Carrying Race took place in Dorking, Surrey at the weekend. In one of the closest contested events yet, Rich Blake Smith triumphed with Anna on board, narrowly beating Vytautas Kirkliauskas of Lithuania, carrying his wife Neringa Kirliauskiene.

Race Listings

Spring RunnersLast weekend's race results are now available online at southernrunningguide.com. Check out the results and upcoming events on our race listing page.

This weekend sees the return of the New Forest Festival of Running, with six races to choose from including a 50K, half marathon and 10K there will be runners of all abilities enjoying the New Forest's raw, rugged and untouched terrain!

The Whole Foods Market Kingston Breakfast Run on Sunday offers two races - 8.2 or 16 miles, great distances for runners looking to go further than a 10K or use as prep for the upcoming London Marathon which is now just over three weeks away.
