This weekend’s (3 May) National 100K and National 50K 2014 ultra races produced some truly outstanding performances with podium winners in both events running PBs and a new all-time British record.

News - Charterhouse Test For Surrey Runners

Nick MorganOrganisers of this year’s Godalming Run on Sunday 18 May have confirmed exciting changes to the run routes. The town is looking forward to the event after Godalming was battered by gales and swamped by unseasonal flooding at the start of the year. The race route features the River Wey, still fast flowing but back within safe levels now winter floods have subsided.

New Poll - Morning Running

Race Listings

Halstead and Essex Marathon

Last weekend's race results are now available online at southernrunningguide.com. Check out the results and upcoming events on our race listing page.

The only way is Essex this weekend with the Halstead & Essex Marathon and Nuclear Rush in Brentwood both being held. Nuclear Rush is a gritty cross-country obstacle race on undulating muddy farmland, heavily loaded with man-made and natural obstacles. Participants can compete in either the 12k or 6k race. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Halstead & Essex Marathon will see runners from across the world head to Halstead with past participants coming as far as Dubai and the USA.  Apart from a 400m stretch in the last mile, the race is entirely on roads with very little traffic.
