A perfectly paced performance from Adam Stokes - first man in 2:42:13, and a 'gun to tape' success for Sally Ford (3:17:39) were just two of the highlights of a record-breaking Kent Roadrunner Marathon 2014.

News - run2work Set For Launch

run2workA new initiative that encourages UK residents to ditch their daily commute in favour of a run begins this Thursday (5 June). run2work has received considerable attention since being rolled out earlier this year and organisers have announced Sweatshop as their latest official partner, while a petition has been launched to make the cost of running shoes and equipment for running to work tax-free.

Andrew LemoncelloAndrew Lemoncello has been one of Britain’s most versatile distance runners of the last decade representing his country for cross-country, mountain running, road running and track. He moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 2007 where he is married with a young daughter, Isla. This year, he is targeting a place at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, where he hopes to represent Scotland in the 10,000m.

Race Listings

Needles Half MArathon RunnersLast weekend's race results are now available online at southernrunningguide.com. Check out the results and upcoming events on our race listing page.

Island racing takes the spotlight this weekend with the Run Jersey Half Marathon and Needles XC Half Marathon both taking place. The Jersey event will see around 400 runners take on the scenic point-to-point half marathon. The event also includes a 10k and 5k. The Needles XC Half Marathon gives participants the chance to enjoy the stunning scenery of West Wight, including the iconic Needles (naturally), 19th Century Military Battery and Tennyson's Monument. Back on the mainland, notable events include Beat the Barrel, Seaford Half Marathon, and Portsmouth's D-Day 10K.
