News - Running Dad’s Ray Of Sunshine

A Liverpool runner who withdrew from May’s Port Sunlight 10K to be alongside his wife during labour was last week given the opportunity to complete the race. Stephen Lea, from Bootle, planned to compete in the Mersey event in his aim to complete the full set of six BTR Liverpool races but his newborn, Franky, had other ideas.

Concerns they will be addressing tonight, when they are hosting a special women’s running evening in their Fulham store.

Race Listings

Woman doing 'The MoBot'Last weekend's race results are now available online at southernrunningguide.com. Check out the results and upcoming events on our race listing page.

This weekend will see runners following in Mo Farah's footsteps at the second Run 10 For Mo in Bushy Park. The race is held by the Mo Farah Foundation and saw 150 people take part last year. A slightly older event, Oprington High Elms 10K celebrates its 17th birthday on Sunday. This year's race will feature a new route. The challenging, hilly, single lap, multi-terrain course sees participants running through the nature trails of High Elms and Kent's beautiful countryside.
