News - Still Time For Extra Special Autumn Marathon

Summertime and the running is easy. Recent good weather has meant a real boost for runners across the UK. A few precautions - sun screen, proper hydration and a cap - and you're set for a running bonanza.  Don't overdo it, but don't miss out on the opportunity to log some extra miles and build a real platform for a big autumn target.

News - Entries Open For MK Marathon

action from 2013 Milton Keynes MarathonEntries for the 2015 Milton Keynes Marathon have now opened. As per the first two years of this event, it will take place on the May Day Bank Holiday, which falls on 4 May in 2015.

News - Summer Treats For Southampton Runners

a group from Sweatshop Running Community SouthamptonRunners in Southampton based out of the Sweatshop store at Hanover Buildings, Bargate are looking forward to a summer of treats with the arrival of new neighbours Italian Creams who are claiming to serve the city's best Italian gelato.  Post-run ice cream is just one other reason for joining the enthusiastic shop-based Sweatshop Running Community.

Race Listings

Harry Hawkes 10 RunnerLast weekend's race results are now available online at southernrunningguide.com. Check out the results and upcoming events on our race listing page.

Sunday's Harry Hawkes 10 in Thames Ditton is a re-staging of an 8-mile race which ran for 26 years since 1984. The new 10-mile distance is flat and fast, going over road, woodland and river paths. Another event on Sunday dating back to the '80s is the Thame CPM 10K, held since 1985. Around 1000 competitors will run through the town centre to Towersey and back along the Phoenix Trail.
