News - History Beckons At Chicago

Rita JeptooRita Jeptoo has the chance to become only the third woman in history to run three sub 2:20 marathons when she takes part in the Chicago Marathon on 11 October. The feat has not been achieved since former Chicago champions and world record-holders Catherine Ndereba of Kenya, and Paula Radcliffe traded course and world records in London and Chicago, more than a decade ago.

News - Surrey Trail Race Entries Open

Trail Run Start LineFun runners and regular runners from Godalming and surrounding Surrey villages are being encouraged to enter the annual Charterhouse Club Trail Run on Sunday 19 October. Now in its fifth year, organisers have added a 1k fun run for families that takes in the Charterhouse school playing fields.

Burnham Beeches Half Marathon RunnersLast weekend's race results are now available online at southernrunningguide.com. Check out the results and upcoming events on our race listing page.

There’s a trio of half marathons on offer this weekend. Isle of Wight Half Marathon celebrates its 30th anniversary, featuring an undulating, town and rural, single lap course. Burnham Beeches Half Marathon will be held for the 34th year, taking in the ancient and beautiful woodland.  Lastly, Henfield Half Marathon offers a scenic course along the riverbank and disused railway with flint paths and styles.
