News - Off With Their Legs

Spartan Race actionAdventure racers will be following in the footprints of Henry VIII as the Spartan Race series gets underway this month. Around 10,000 are expected to descend on Pippingford Park, former hunting grounds favoured by England's most notorious king.

News - Fauja Returns

Fauja SinghFauja Singh will make a welcome return to the running scene later this year after he was confirmed as the official starter of the Big Fun Run in Victoria Park, London. Singh will start the friendly 5k run on Saturday 25 October. Now aged 103, Singh has retired from competitive racing but still runs regularly.

Gurnsey WinnerLast weekend's race results are now available online at southernrunningguide.com. Check out the results and upcoming events on our race listing page.

With 20 miles of sea views, this weekend's Guernsey Marathon definitely fits into the 'scenic' category. The course takes you along picturesque roads and lanes, sandy inlets and bays, and around the coastline. Also featuring running by water, Thames Meander Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on Saturday.  Starting from the YMCA Hawker Centre, the race proceeds towards the Thames Path on an out and back, flat and fast riverside route.
