News - Jo Pavey Launches Winter Run

Supermum Jo Pavey is encouraging Londoners to conquer the cold by signing up to the first ever Cancer Research UK London Winter Run. The four times Team GB Olympian memorably won the 10,000m title at this summer’s European Championships just weeks short of her 41st birthday. An inspiration to a generation of women Jo Pavey picked up gold in Zurich in August, just 10 months after giving birth to her second child. She is the second fastest UK women to have ever run 10k, with a blistering time of 30:53.

News - Run Fatboy Run

Norman CookInternationally-acclaimed DJ Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, was among 16,000 finishers at the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday. The artist, who enjoyed huge hits with ‘Praise You’, ‘Right Here Right Now’ and ‘The Rockafeller Skank’ placed 4963rd in the London race with a respectable sub-two hour time.

Race Listings

Big Fun RunLast weekend's race results are now available online at southernrunningguide.com. Check out the results and upcoming events on our race listing page.

Billed as one of the flattest ten mile races in the country, the Cabbage Patch 10 returns on Sunday. The race starts and finishes in Twickenham town centre crossing the river in Kingston and Richmond.

For a less competitive but no less enjoyable event, the Big Fun Run series comes to Willen Lake in Milton Keynes. The series is strictly for fun, with no times, no pressure, and no sweat (that last point may not be true).
