News - World Champion Heads South

Abel KiruiDouble world marathon champion Abel Kirui heads the entries for this month's Bupa Great South Run in Portsmouth. The Kenyan won gold at the recent IAAF World Championships in Daegu, defending the title he won two years earlier in Berlin.

News - A Major Challenge

Major Runners getting muddySaturday, October 8 saw the first Major Series take place at Eridge Park in Tunbridge Wells. The Major is a series of cross-country adventure races which feature unique military themed obstacles and challenges - the brainchild of the people who brought you British Military Fitness (BMF).

Runtalk - Running Chester

Russ at Chester MarathonRussell Whittington, recently confirmed as a Guiness world record holder, spoke to us about celebrating his new status with a run at the Chester marathon...

On Sunday October 9 my dad and I took part in the second running of the Chester Marathon. It was the first marathon that we had run together since the London Marathon in April where we had both run personal best times. A few days before the Chester Marathon we had received verbal confirmation from the Guinness world records that our combined time was the fastest parent and child time and would become an official world record.

Poll ImageThis month, we're looking to find out what eveyone enjoys about Autumn running. Is it the fantastic array of colours of leaves, or is it the mild, but not freezing, temperature that make Autumn running enjoyable for you? Whatever it is, we want to know!

So far, the answer seems to be that the cool temperature is most peoples' favourite part of running, with the phenomenal views of the trees coming in a close second.
