News - Brighton Goes Over Distance

Brighton Half LogoRace organisers of the Brighton half marathon have issued an apology after confirming that Sunday's race was over distance. They issued a statement yesterday confirming that 'due to human error the course was extended to a total distance of 13.42 miles' rather than the conventional distance of 13.1miles.

News - Sichel Tackles 48 Hour Treadmill Challenge

William SichelWilliam Sichel, Britain's top ultra-distance runner, embarks today (Wednesday, February 22) on his latest endurance event as he takes part in the World Challenge 48 Treadmill. Sichel will be competing against five other established ultra distance athletes over the course of two days at Evreux in Northern France.

News - Kids Mile Doubles Entries

Mini-Marathion LogoEntries are pouring in for the Grand Hotel Mini-Mile which takes place over the last mile of the Brighton Marathon on April 15. This time last year just over 400 youngsters had signed up. But numbers are more than double that at 920 with over a month still to go before the deadline of March 23 is reached.
