News - Ealing Hits Thousand Entries

Ealing Half 2012 LogoThe first ever Ealing Half Marathon has already attracted over 1,000 entrants despite the race being more than five months away.

The race is being hosted by Ealing Eagles, a club formed in the west London borough just three years ago. Race organisers are now targeting even more runners for the inaugural event on 30 September. Event director and Ealing resident Kelvin Walker said: "The response has been fantastic. We've had loads of interest from people right across London and further afield.

News - Olympic History Set In London

National Lottery Olympic Park RunHistory was made on Saturday (March 31) as 5,000 members of the public became the first people to cross the finish line in the 2012 Olympic Stadium finish at the National Lottery Olympic Park Run. The runners, who were picked at random from almost 43,000 entrants, took part in a five-mile run around the Olympic Park.
