Test The Top Gear Track

Dunsfold ParkThe Dunsfold 10K takes place on Sunday, August 22 at the home of the Top Gear test track, Dunsfold Park, Surrey. This is a great race for speed freaks and novice runners, as it is flat, traffic free and does an easy two laps of the course. Read More.

Summertime Running - What Do You Like?

Bar Graph ImageThe current poll on southernrunningguide.com asks runners their favourite thing about running in summertime. There are seven options to choose from, with 'Lighter mornings/evenings' your runaway favourite at the moment, with 58.3% of the vote. So far, topping up your tan and warmer weather are not popular reasons for summer running, however 'lots of races to choose from' is second favourite, with 23.1% of the vote.

Up and Coming Races

Southern Running Guide May Race ListingsThere are a host of races coming up over the south of England, as Sunday, July 25 sees the Jack and Jill 5 Mile Challenge in Burgess Hill, as well as Half Marathon in Windsor and a Dinosaur 10K in Deal. Midweek, Bedford Park will fill with runners for the Bedford Harriers 'Doug Anderson Memorial 5K' on Wednesday, July 28 and Race three of the Near As Damn It 10K race will take place in Coulsdon the following day. Moving into August, Sunday, August 1 brings 10K racing to London in the Newham 10K Charity Run as well as the Medway Sprint Triathlon in Rochester.
