News - Forget Juneathon, Here is Mascarathon

Mascarathon ImageTo raise awareness and money for Refuge, the national domestic violence charity for women and children, make-up brand Benefit has organised a charity event that will see participants run from Scotland to London. Taking place from June 15 to June 29, the run will start at Edinburgh and stop off at Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Oxford and will cumulate in Spitalfields, London.

News - A Very English Race

Harvel 5With the jubilee weekend imminent, hundreds of runners are expected to descend on the Harvel 5 in Kent at the weekend. The five mile run is expected to attract around 700 runners for Saturday's quintessentially English event organised by Harvel Hash House Harriers.

News - Friday Night In Essex

Nice WorkThis week sees the launch of a new evening 5k series in Essex. The Clacton Summer 5k Series will take place on a monthly basis at the coastal town. Every event bar one takes place on a Friday night at 7pm and features an out and back run along the promenade.

Poll - Where Do You Run?

Poll ImageThe question of 'Where to run?' is an interesting one. Some people love to do their training in a dry indoor setting, while others long for the days of cooling rain to pound the pavements or hit the trails.

This week sees running on the streets istill in the lead, with 42.7% of the vote. Urban trail runs continue in second place with 22.9%, while countryside running comes in third with 19.8%.
