Big Weekend

23 SEP2010

Two Big Fun Run events will take place within easy reach for London runners this weekend. Big Fun Run 5k events take place all over the UK throughout the summer and this weekend will see races take place in London's Victoria Park and Milton Keynes' Willen Park.

The aim is for up to 1000 runners joining in every event, all of which take place within scenic parks that are both safe and pleasant running environments. The Victoria Park race takes place at 11am on Saturday, 24 hours later sees the start of the Milton Keynes event.

The Victoria Park run will start and finish at the disused running track at the south side of the park. Participants will then head off through the park, taking full advantage of the wide pathways. In Milton Keynes, the run starts and finishes at the lakeside lawn and follows the tarred pathway that loops around the South and North Lake.

Standard entries are £12 or £8 if you run for one of Big Fun Run's 72 partner charities. For OAPs and under 18s entries are £6 or £5 if running for a charity. To enter and for more information, see www.bigfunrun.com
