Race In Olympic Shadow

This Sunday sees the hosting of the Eton Manor 5k event, hosted by Eton Manor AC, who pride themselves on being the nearest sports club to the site of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The race will be run on a fast flat course on the paths of Hackney, Leyton and Walthamstow marshes and the footpath of Homerton Road.
The race HQ is at the Waterworks Centre within Lea Valley Park. There are no shower facilities at the race HQ, but there are at the nearby Eton Manor AC clubhouse which is just 10 minutes walk away. It is too late for postal entries, but on-the-day entries are available for £5.00 for attached runners and £7.00 for unattached.
Prizes are available for the first three men and first three women and the first placed veterans in M40, M50, M60 and W35, W45, W55 classes. The race begins at 10am.
