Wild About Running At Chessington

Chessington Running Wild 2017

Billed as Britain's wildest running adventure and held entirely within one of UK's favourite theme parks, Chessington Running Wild promises a family run like no other on Saturday, 4 November.

This brand new event in the portfolio of experienced Surrey-based promoters, aat-events and Tri Project provides a choice of 10k, 5k and a kid's challenge 2k run. The course is on smooth tarmac paths on a 5k lap completely inside Chessington World of Adventures Resort, weaving through the resort’s Zoo and Theme Park rides.

Registration opens at 7am and the 10k and 5k both start at 8:30am, with the kid's races taking place during the main event. One special feature is the 25% discount on admission to Chessington Zoo and Sealife Centre for every race number, only valid on 4 November.

Although the rides will be closed for the winter, this unique event will enable runners of all ages to embark on a wild adventure through the theme park as they follow the Trail of the Kings, pass the Sea Life Centre and Chessington’s exhilarating rides such as the iconic Vampire.

The event will be raising funds towards Merlin’s Magic Wand, who put the magic back into the childhood of seriously ill, disabled and disadvantaged children by arranging wonderful days out at Merlin Entertainments attractions like Chessington World of Adventures Resort.

This beginner friendly charity run has something for everyone. Have fun, get fit and raise money for Merlin's Magic Wand before enjoying a great day out for the whole family at Chessington Zoo and Sealife Centre. All runners will receive a medal and refreshments. The event will be chip timed, the route clearly marked and marshalled, with ample free parking facilities and professional race management.
