Organisers of the multi-award winning Intersport Run Reigate Half Marathon and 10k have advised runABC South that pre-entries for their 2018 event on Sunday, 16 September 2018 are selling fast but there is still an opportunity to save up to £6 for runners who are quick off their marks.
Super Early Bird entries sold out in record time after the 2017 half marathon and 10k from Priory Park. Now places for this popular closed-road event are selling fast and runners are urged to register soon to benefit from low entry fees.
The half marathon was a gold winning event in the 2017 Running Awards and has again been nominated for next year's awards. Global sporting goods retailer Intersport return as headline sponsor in 2018 and Dame Kelly Holmes will be the official starter and key supporter.
The 2018 event will also welcome back the much-loved Canon Kids Race, which sees young runners aged 4-15 years complete the final 1.1 miles of their own cumulative half marathon on race day. It is a fantastic opportunity for children to experience the thrill of a big sporting event and earn themselves a well deserved medal.
It is expected that Intersport Run Reigate Half Marathon and 10K 2018 will be the biggest and best yet and a must-do event in the diary for any runner looking for a friendly autumn race.
Race director Dave Kelly commented: “We are excited that the 2018 Intersport Run Reigate Half Marathon and 10K has received such a fantastic response and we are looking forward to welcoming returning runners from previous years as well as new runners to Priory Park in September 2018. We would like to thank our headline sponsor Intersport for their continued support and we look forward to delivering another first-class race next autumn.”
All finishers will receive a technical T-shirt, heavyweight bespoke medal, water and banana. Until 31 December individual Early Bird entry for the Run Reigate Half Marathon is £26/£28 and the Run Reigate 10K is £24/£26. The Canon Kids Race is £10. Prices increase from 1 January to £32/£34 for the half marathon and £29/£31 for the 10K, remaining at £10 for the Canon Kids Race.
