Surrey Hills Night Run - Nov
This is a guided trail run, ideal for night run first timers.
Starting and finishing in Guildford, this run features some of the best scenery in the Surrey Hills, including the wonderful St Martha's church and hill, the problem is, you won't see much of it! My Surrey Hills Night Run is aimed at those people that want to experience the thrill of running along deserted trails in total darkness, with only our head torches leading the way.
This run is perfect for those new to night running, who may be training for an ultra that will lead them into the night, or simply to those that haven't felt comfortable running into the woods alone.
You will be guided by Matt Buck, a qualified run leader and coach, therefore you don't need to worry about where you are going or the route we will take, Matt will take care of everything so all you need to do is concentrate on running.
We will explore some trails throughout the beautiful Surrey Hills area, including fantastic views of Guildford and the surrounding villages at night.
Pace: This is not a race! We will run as a group and share this experience together. You should be able to run between 10-11 min/miles and have a good level of fitness. First timers encouraged!
Kit: A full kit list will be provided but you will need a head torch and spare batteries.
Getting there: Guildford has excellent transport links by both car and train. Full details will be provided.
There will also be Surrey Hills Night Runs staged on 23 January and 22 March
