Steve Way in action at 2014 London MarathonInspirational Commonwealth Games runner Steve Way has confirmed he will take part in this year’s Bournemouth Marathon Festival (BMF) by racing the half marathon and being official starter for the full distance event, which take place in his hometown during 4-5 October.

News - Mile Challenge Returns

Participants in July's mile eventsFollowing the success of their July 4 Minute Mile, aat events has organised a re-run of the iconic challenge in Guildford. Runners are being invited to the athletics track at the Guildford Spectrum in Surrey to see how quickly they can complete the distance that British legends Roger Bannister, Sebastian Coe and Steve Ovett made so famous.

Runtalk - A Matter Of Life And Death

Last week on a training run with my local club, one of my fellow runners collapsed and died. It was sudden, shocking and deeply tragic. I did not know him well, but I do know he was giving his own time that evening as leader of the group, slowing his typical pace to accompany the less speedy runners in the group.

Race Listings

Hard as Snails RunnerLast weekend's race results are now available online at Check out the results and upcoming events on our race listing page.

Cross-country runners will take on the popular Hard as Snails event on Saturday. Featuring a 10k and 5k, the epic course takes in the Pilgrims' Way over the North Downs in central Surrey. Participants will encounter rolling hills, lofty summits and low off-road tracks weaving through the woodland. Equally as scenic is Sunday's Kent Coastal Marathon and Half Marathon, which sees runners racing along the picturesque seafront, taking in Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs.
