News - Fleet Footed In Hampshire


Runners looking for fast times at this year's Brooks Fleet Half Marathon on Sunday 20 March will have assistance this year. Race director Penny Abbott told runABC: ”We are delighted to let runners know we have secured a number of pace makers for our event.  We will have highly visible pace makers to get runners round in 1:30, 1:45, 2:00 and 2:15 so if you have been trying to break these barriers, now could be your chance."

With Christmas and New Year’s now a distant memory, there’s no excuse for not putting on your running shoes and getting out. Luckily there are tons of great events this weekend to help give you that extra push. Benfleet 15 returns for its 26th year on Sunday, featuring a challenging 15 mile, multi-terrain course, incorporating sections of the Canvey Island sea wall, and the undulating Hadleigh Downs. Denbies 10 offers a scenic trail run exploring the North Downs Way and Ranmore Common with stunning views. Those who fancy something a little less challenging can try the Bushy Park 10K in London, which also includes a 5k. Check out race results and upcoming events on our race listing page.
