News - Rain Rain Go Away

Sussex MarathonOrganisers of the forthcoming Sussex Living Marathon Weekend are keeping a keen eye on the weather to ensure races will be able to go ahead as planned. The three-day event comprises the Sussex Living East Grinstead 10 mile event on Saturday, May 5, the Sussex Living Haywards Heath 10 mile on Sunday, May 6 and the Sussex Living Burgess Hill 10K on Bank Holiday Monday, May 7.

News - Bedford Departure Marks End Of Era

David BedfordThe Virgin London Marathon will now enter a new era following Sunday's record-breaking event, the last with David Bedford at the helm as Race Director. The moustachioed icon of UK endurance running is stepping down after first joining the London marathon organisers in 1986.

News - Tempest Scenes As Curtain Closes On Marathon

Shakespear ManiaOrganisers of the Rotary Shakespeare Marathon were forced to curtail the event on Sunday (April 29) due to strong winds and heavy rainfall. After taking on board advice from the Met office, the event was reduced to 13.1 miles, with runners informed only minutes before the start and instructed they would only be covering one circuit around Stratford-upon-Avon.
