Event of the Week

Guildford 10K & 5K

runners on Guildford's cobbled High Street

Multi-award winning organisers aat-events are hosting a brand new 10K and 5K event from Guildford’s iconic cobbled high street on 13 October.

aat-events promise:

  • Award-winning atmosphere & organisation
  • Accessible town centre location
  • Huge medals & finish line treats

Guildford 10K - which raises money for local charity Harrison’s Fund - commences with a warm-up led by Field of Fitness training studio. The Mayor and Town Crier will then officially start the historic town’s first closed-road running race.

Porsche Centre Guildford will lead runners along the gently undulating 'out-and-back' routes - which will be lined with local bands, a live DJ and crowds of cheering spectators.

An experienced team of race pacers from Racecheck Visor club will encourage runners across the finish line in their desired finish time, where all runners will then receive a huge medal, a NEOM goody bag and other treats.

Post-race massage will be available from Fitstuff Clinic within Fitstuff Run Shop, and various coffee shops and restaurants on the high street will be open for post-race refreshments.

Organisers invite all levels of runner to take part, and have devised a unique team-based initiative with event partners Racecheck to transform regular race participation into a more social experience.

All runners are invited to join 1 of 3 Racecheck teams so they can meet each other ahead of the day on social media via their Racecheck team hashtags: #teampink, #teamorange and #teamturquoise.

Participants also receive a free headwrap in their team colour to help identify fellow teammates throughout race day. For a little added fun, the team who achieve the lowest collective finish time across the 10K and 5K races will be entered into a prize draw to win a number of prizes donated by local businesses and sponsors.
