Next month, one of London's most prominent green areas for runners will host an event targeted at novices to the sport. The RunThrough Bushy Park 10K will be held on Sunday 10 March and is aimed at beginner runners.
The two lap course in the south west London expanse is picturesque, flat and traffic free. The terrain is a mixture of paths, firm grass and road, making it easy underfoot. The event will also be chip-timed and include a water station.
The park is within easy reach of Teddington, Hampton Wick, Fulwell and Hampton train stations. Those feeling particular sporty might also like to take in the England v Italy Six Nations rugby game at nearby Twickenham to round off the day.
RunThrough is a 'not for profit' organisation that aims to donate any profits to fund athletes from disadvantaged backgrounds around the UK.
The Bushy Park 10K will cost just £8 for club members and £10 for non-club members. For more information, check out www.runthrough.co.uk/bushy-park-10k
