Breakfast At Kingston?

Lidl Breakfast Run finishers
The Lidl Kingston Breakfast Run will return on Sunday 3 April 2016, with the aim to help even more runners achieve their goals. Participants can choose from the 8, 16 or 20 mile routes.
The route follow a fast and flat course along the River Thames, past the iconic Hampton Court Palace and through picturesque Thames Ditton. Last year the newly introduced 20 mile route reached capacity well in advance of the event, with many using it as a final test before their spring marathon.
Kingston upon Thames Ancient Market Place will host the start and finish points of the 2016 Lidl Kingston Breakfast Run.
The eight-mile route has become a favourite in the running community over the years. This is partly down to its pleasant riverside surroundings, but mainly because it is remarkably flat, allowing a steady run and great PB potential. The 16-mile course is two laps of the same popular loop with 20-mile runners doing an elongated version to clock up the extra distance.
The Garmin Pace Team will be back to help runners of all distances reach their desired time goal. The team members with their distinctive numbered flags will be spread at minute per mile intervals allowing runners to keep a steady pace.
Pacers will start from a rapid six minute per mile speed, and continue in minute intervals through to a more leisurely 12 minutes per mile. Casual groups quickly form around each of the flag bearers, with many finding the camaraderie helps them reach the finish in a record time.
Breast Cancer Care are the official charity partner of the Lidl Kingston Breakfast Run, with all participants encouraged to raise money which will go towards providing vital support services for anyone affected by breast cancer.   For more information visit the event website.
