The king and queen of capital cross country running will be crowned this weekend. Parliament Hill will play host to the London Cross Country Championships on Saturday 16 November.
The iconic venue is the traditional home of the championships which will see individual and team races in senior categories, all preceded by the Balfour Beatty London Youth Games competitions for younger age groups.
Up to 3,000 could take to the course on Hampstead Heath across the day. GB mountain running international Chris Smith won the senior men's race last year for Thames Valley Harriers. The defending senior women's champion is Andrea Clement of Serpentine. The action gets underway with the under 11s races at 10:50am.
