Employees across Bristol, Bath and South Gloucestershire are being urged to follow in the footsteps of local accountants Bishop Fleming by taking on the Sanlam Bristol + Bath Marathon Company Challenge. The event for local businesses has been added to the Sanlam Bristol + Bath Marathon, where work colleagues can enter a team to complete the course together.
The winning team will receive a donation to the charity of their choice. Jamie Warren at GO2 said: “The Company Challenge has proved to be a great way to inspire a workplace, set a challenge and motivate employees to be active and take part in a great community event.
“We are extremely pleased that we have a number of local businesses and charities supporting the event, across both cities, and would encourage any runners looking for that extra bit of support and motivation for the event, to consider the Company Challenge. It’s also a great opportunity for some healthy industry competition between rival companies.”
Starting in the heart of Bristol at Queen Square and finishing on Royal Avenue in the historic City of Bath, runners will take in the sights of the vibrant city of Bristol, including the SS Great Britain, as they make their way through the beautiful rolling countryside of South Gloucestershire on the journey onto the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath.
Andrew Sandiford, partner at Bishop Fleming, said: “Bishop Fleming is delighted to be supporting the inaugural Bristol + Bath Marathon, both as a sponsor and by entering the Company Challenge! These two great cities are an important part of our business and we are excited to be part of a team who share our energetic and enthusiastic outlook!”
