With Disneyland® Paris celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, now is the perfect time to enter the Disneyland® Paris Val d’Europe Half Marathon. The race returns for its second year on 24 September and will also feature a new event – the Disneyland® 10K.
Up to 11,400 runners are expected to line up in Paris for the run through Disney Parks and its surrounding areas. Participants will begin running down Hollywood Boulevard, and past the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror before going through Main Street, USA – though they’ll still technically be in France. The course then goes past Sleeping Beauty Castle through the countryside and villages that surround the Disney Parks, before circling back to Disney Village en route to the finish line.
As with other runDisney events, participants are welcome to dress up as a Disney character to help add to the spectacle of the event. Organisers state that costumes must be family friendly and appropriate for the occasion.
A big attraction for a lot of entrants is the collectable medals on offer. Those who complete a marathon or a half marathon with runDisney in the USA and the Disneyland® Paris Val d’ Europe Half Marathon in the same calendar year will receive an additional Disney® medal to celebrate their achievement. Participants who complete both the Disneyland® Paris 10K Disneyland® Paris Val d’Europe Half Marathon will also receive an extra new medal.
