Enigma Running is organising four consecutive marathon running events over the next six months with the first taking place in Milton Keynes on Sunday (August 28). The quartet of events continues with the Poppy Day Enigma Marathon on Friday, November 11, the Winter Enigma Marathon on Monday, January 2 and the stamina-stretching Enigma Quadzilla on February 9-12.
The final event is four marathons in four days, taking each entrant beyond the 100 mile distance. Places for the Winter Enigma are still available, but the other events are full.
This Sunday's race features an 8 lap course beginning at the Premier Inn, Lakeside Grove at 2.30pm. Each finisher will receive a unique race mug as a souvenir. Those who complete the course in under 3 hours and 30 minutes will be awarded gold medals, those who clock a finish time under four hours will received a silver medal and those who go sub five hours will collect bronze medals.
The small scale event features a maximum entry of just 40 runners. All profits from the event will go to the Brathay Trust, National Autistic Society and the Towcester Brass Band. For more information visit the series website.
