One of the south of England's most scenic 10k races is now open for entries. The Exbury 10k in the New Forest is run over country lanes and starts and finishes at Exbury Gardens on Sunday, March 20.
The event takes in the majestic views of the Solent and includes approximately 500 metres of beach front running on the foreshore path at Lepe Beach. As well as providing spectacular scenery, the race is also an opportunity for spectacular times, as it is fast and flat throughout. This will be the third time the race has been staged by host club Hardley Runners. Entries are £13 or £11 for England Athletics-affiliated runners.
Race entry fee includes free entry to the beautiful Exbury gardens. There's free parking, toilets and excellent refreshments at Mr Eddy's tea room and restaurant.
The course is unsuitable for wheelchair entrants. Entries close on March 12 or when organisers reach the entry limit of 450. For entry details, see www.hardleyrunners.co.uk
