London's Santa Run is set to take place at Battersea Park again this year on Saturday, December 3. Around 2,000 are expected to gather in the central London park in the famous red and white fur-lined coat to race 6k.
This year the event will raise funds for Disability Snowsport UK, a national charity aimed at helping people with disabilities enjoy the thrill of snow sports.
The event costs £20 and includes a Santa suit for every entrant. Each runner is encouraged to try and raise money for the event charity. Organisers are offering a prize to the highest fund raiser and special goody bags for anyone who raises above £250.
Funds raised from the event will enable children and adults with a range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, Down's syndrome, visual impairment and autism to access programmes across the UK to enable them to make friends, improve their confidence and have fun through sports which they would otherwise be excluded from.
