Internationally acclaimed DJ Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon this October for a second time to raise money for Young Epilepsy, the national charity dedicated to improving the lives of young people with the condition.
Fatboy Slim will be leading the 23 strong team of Young Epilepsy runners including ex-Blackburn Rovers footballer Ian Pearce and BBC Radio 6 presenter Matthew Everitt and the rest of the charity's supporters. Last year Norman donned a purple running vest and beat his personal best to complete the 13.1 mile route in 1 hour and 59 minutes.
This year he hopes to beat this time in the race which passes through Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James¹s Park and Green Park. Norman Cook says; "I'm really looking forward to getting out there, running again and supporting Young Epilepsy. The condition is widely misunderstood and not often talked about yet it can have a severe impact on a person and their families' life.
