Runners looking for fast times at this year's Brooks Fleet Half Marathon on Sunday 20 March will have assistance this year. Race director Penny Abbott told runABC: ”We are delighted to let runners know we have secured a number of pace makers for our event. We will have highly visible pace makers to get runners round in 1:30, 1:45, 2:00 and 2:15 so if you have been trying to break these barriers, now could be your chance."
Fleet Half, a popular pre-London Marathon test, is also inviting runners to personalise their medal with an iTab showing their PB time. This further enhancement for 2016, allows runners to purchase an iTab at point of entry and within days of completing the run, they will receive an engraved iTab with name and time on it, which slots into the cut away on the back of your medal.
Finallly, chip timers are now integrated into race numbers so now worries about tying the chip around your shoe laces. Full race details at the event website.
