Go Girl Run is a brand new and unique women’s only evening 5k run and beach party that is bound to take the running community by storm on Friday, 24 June.
Set against the spectacular backdrop of Brighton & Hove seafront women can sign up now to enjoy a fast, fun run with like-minded ladies and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, bags of entertainment and the best view on the south coast. The pancake flat course starts and finishes on Hove Lawns, follows the seafront for a loop around Hove Lagoon before returning to the race village. Facilities at Hove Lawns include registration and help desk; kit deposit tent; plenty of loos and loads of entertainment. Registration is open from 3:30pm and the race starts at 7:30pm with entertainment until midnight.
Already confirmed are fire shows by Playing With Fire and live music from The Little Big Band and Brighton-based Brazilian samba band, Barulho. There will also be music before the start and out on the course to help create a lively but relaxed atmosphere and the perfect antidote to the footie!
Entries are still available online at a bargain £13.50 that includes the special medal for all finishers. Competitors must be aged 15 years or over on race day and families and friends of either gender are welcome to support runners and to enjoy the great atmosphere and free entertainment. Organisers do recommend using public transport as parking is limited in the area.
