Back for the third year on Bank Holiday Monday 28 August – Harwell Half – a scenic multi-terrain half marathon around the Oxfordshire countryside starting and finishing at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory with parts of the course on the Ridgeway National Path.
The start/finish venue is something of a spectacle in itself – the home of the Diamond Light Source, the UK’s national synchrotron radiation facility; where diamond generates brilliant beams of light from infrared to X-rays.
Friendly atmosphere, excellently signposted and marshalled, lead cyclist and tail runner, two water stations, chip timed, CLIF bar and medal as you cross the finish line and stunning scenery. No cut-off times.
Trophies and prizes for top 3 male/female and 1st V40/V50/V60 Male & Female.
A simply stunning way to spend August Bank Holiday.
