Celebrate the best known date in English history, 1066, with your own personal battle at Hastings Lions Club’s 33rd Hastings Half Marathon on 19 March 2017. The popular spring half marathon is perfect preparation for both Brighton and London marathons, is for all abilities, and runners can raise funds for their own good cause or charity.
The course begins on the seafront, following some of the route of William the Conqueror towards Battle as it circumnavigates Hastings. To commemorate the Battle of Hastings, many runners choose to run in fancy dress – mainly Normans and Saxons costumes.
The event features fantastic crowd support with six bands, two discos and two choirs on the route. All finishers will be rewarded for their hard work with a unique Hastings Brass award plus a hot drink.
