The Lidl Kingston Breakfast Run website offers: 'three distances and the best goody bag in the business'. If you would like a Lidl extra in your post race pick-up, just mark your diary for Sunday, 26 March and enter the 8.2, 16.2 or 20.1 mile pre-London challenge of your choice.
The Lidl Kingston Breakfast Run has become a key spring marathon rehearsal with a fast, flat route starting and finishing in historic Kingston Market Square. Much of the scenic course is alongside the River Thames, down to Hampton Court Bridge and there are Human Race pacers provided for 12 minutes-per-mile to six-minute-mile pace (we can but dream)!
Entries cost from £26 to £32 and the current records show exactly how swift the course is: 8.2mls – Phil Wicks (Belgrave, 40:15) and Tish Jones (Belgrave, 45:34); 16.2mls – Phil Wicks (Belgrave, 1:20:47) and Jo Lodge (Windsor, 1:34:17); 20.1mls – Stuart Farmer (Fulham, 1:58:17) and Yasmeen Hussain (London City, 2:17:53)
Every finisher will receive the ultimate Lidl goody bag; bespoke race mug; water stations; chip timing with split time mats; full medical cover and an instant results text to mobile phones.
The official race charity is Breast Cancer Care, the only UK-wide charity providing specialist support and tailored information for anyone affected by breast cancer.
