Leading confectionary brand, Mars Chocolate, has confirmed its support for the Windsor Running Festival, the autumn event held at the feature location of Windsor Great Park. The festival incorporates the Running4Women Windsor 10K on Saturday 26 September and Windsor Half Marathon on Sunday 27 September.
The weekend programme also includes the Sprite Sprint run where five to nine year-olds run 40m, and the 2.5 mile Glynn Shefford Memorial Run which is aimed at runners aged ten and above.
Race director Peter Hier commented: “We are proud to announce that Mars Chocolate UK has confirmed its support for the Windsor Running Festival 2015. We have long-standing relationship with Mars and share many core values, including the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and physical activity for people of all ages.
"The Windsor Running Festival is an all-inclusive weekend offering events from 40m for young people through to the half marathon distance, giving everyone the opportunity to be active. We also have a range of volunteering opportunities for anyone wanting to get involved without running.”
The long-established Windsor Half Marathon boasts one of the most picturesque courses in the world with the 13.1 miles run on traffic free roads around Windsor Great Park. The Running4Women Windsor 10K is aimed at women of all levels, ages and backgrounds including novices, charity runners and club runners.
