Milton Keynes Marathon is fast becoming one of the most popular running events. It returns for its sixth year on Bank Holiday Monday 1 May 2017 with full and half marathon distances available as well as a relay and family Superhero fun run.
The mostly flat course passes through leafy villages, past lakes and beautiful countryside before finishing with a lap of Stadium MK to the roar of the crowds at one of the most impressive sports stadiums in the region, which has hosted the Rugby World Cup.
As well as being consistently ranked in the top ten of UK marathon events, Milton Keynes Marathon is also one of the best organised and has been awarded BARR Gold accreditation for outstanding race management for the third year running. Even details like bag collection are taken care of with the local scouts ready to quickly collect bags as the runners leave the track.
Runners can also sign up for the Rocket 5K race, which takes place the day before the main event – a fast, downhill 5k run.
All finishers receive an awesome chunky cow themed medal and a stylish T-shirt.
