Tomorrow will see women of all shapes and sizes take up the challenge of the Sheactive Every Woman's Duathlon at Bucklers Hard, New Forest. With today's rain making way to sunny intervals, the event should be under fantastic conditions as the women walk run and cycle around the scenic course.
Organisers want racers to have fun and are asking women not to be too worried about their times, as the picturesque surroundings of the race, coupled with the roaming ponies and cows may act as a distraction and slow racers down. The atmosphere at the event will be light-hearted and full of enjoyment.
The New Forest Event is the second of four in the Every Woman's Duathlon series, with a race in the Bristol Downs on June 26 and finishing in Bushy Park on September 4/5. The Bushy Park location is where the Every Woman's Dualthlon started in 2008, and organisers have decided to stage two races here this year, the 'novice' and 'challenge' distances.
Women who would like to take part in one of the future events can enter online. These events are for real women of all shapes and sizes, fitness levels and ages, with an emphasis on fun, participation and achievement.
