The Joyden’s Wood 10K near Dartford, Kent has been renamed for its new venue for this autumn. Now the Shorne Woods 10K, the event has moved down the road to a bigger forest where it will take place on 21 September.
The organisers Kelly’s Charity Events say the move means a better location for local charities, The Parents Consortium and chYps who will benefit from the event.
It will also promise easier access with its location just off the A2, plenty of parking, an onsite café and some challenging climbs for runners. There are 10k, 5k and 1.2k fun run options to suit runners of all abilities. The Parents Consortium provides support to both the parents, their children and to young people who have a form of physical, learning or sensory impairment.
chYps (children and young people’s service of EllenorLions Hospices) specialises in taking the hospice to the child by delivering end of life, cancer and respite care in the family home.
