Entries for the 2014 Plymouth Half Marathon are now open with a window of opportunity for runners wanting to take advantage of the early bird fees. There will be a £5 discount for those signing up for next year's race by 12 November. Over 3,000 runners are already pre-registered for the event that will take place on Sunday 27 April. It will be the 21st edition of the Devon race.
Race organiser Amy Budd said: "With six months to go until race day, now is the perfect time to set yourself a challenge! Whether you have run in previous years and want to beat your best time, or if you're simply looking to set yourself a personal goal to get fit and fundraise, everyone is welcome."
New for 2014 is the Company Challenge where colleagues can race as part of a team against other organisations. Teams can be made up of a minimum of four entrants and a maximum of 10 entrants. The winning time will be comprised by the top four fastest finishers within a mixed team, with a prize charity donation of £250 being awarded to the winning company.
The official charity partners for the 2014 race are Cancer Research UK and Children's Hospice South West, who will once again be looking to recruit runners to join their team. To find out more and to enter online, see www.plymouthhalfmarathon.com
