The world’s largest running relay hits the UK with Reebok Ragnar White Cliffs on 23-24 September and entries are filling fast. Reebok Ragnar Relays are commonplace throughout USA and Canada with almost 40 events annually but White Cliffs is the first UK adventure.
The inaugural Reebok Ragnar White Cliffs relay will run for 24 hours, covering around 170 miles on the beautiful south-east coastline of England. Starting in Mote Park, Maidstone, teams of 10 will run through quaint seaside towns, rolling fields and beside spectacular white cliffs before concluding in buzzing Brighton with an epic finish line party.
Just a few team places are left to claim. Teams of five runners can be paired with others to make up the full complement and specialist ultra team entries are also available. All 2017 team captains will receive free Reebok running shoes!
Organisers of the event are looking to recruit more volunteers and tell us: "Volunteers are the heart and soul of Ragnar. They hold the operation together and do it with style. Ragnar volunteers help others find their inner wild. If you are interested in volunteering Ragnar would love to hear from you. You can expect a fair number of high fives, smiles and at least a few hugs from the runners."
The gold standard for volunteers is the SWAT (Sweaty, Wet And Tired) team who work longer shifts throughout the weekend alongside Ragnar staff and have greater responsibilities. Perks include a free individual entry to a Ragnar of your choice and some amazing Ragnar swag. The SWAT crew is limited and candidates need to apply in order to be considered.
Tanner Bell, President & Co-Founder of Ragnar said: “Bringing Ragnar to the UK has been a dream of ours for a very long time and this route from Maidstone to Brighton is one of the most scenic Ragnar courses in the world. I can’t wait to have our UK participants experience Ragnar for their first time on this fantastic course.”
