Tom and Jade at Richmond RUNFEST have just let runABC South know about their latest PB! Last year's Richmond Running Festival raised a record £550,000 for worthy local and national causes, taking the total collected to an impressive £1.5 million in the first five years of the event.
Richmond RUNFEST comprises five separate events: Kew Gardens 10K and Richmond RUNFEST Kid's Mile on Saturday and Richmond Half Marathon, Richmond Marathon and NIKE Family Mile on Sunday. Next year's action takes place on the weekend of 15-16 September.
Tom and Jade are delighted to announce that Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSH) will join the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew Charity as Official Charities of the Year 2018. GOSH would love you to be part of their charity team and can help with training, fundraising and kit plus amazing cheer points on the course and a glass of bubbly at the finish.
Every day more than 600 children and young people from across UK arrive at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Every day a team of dedicated doctors and nurses battle complex illnesses and the brightest minds are applied to achieve medical breakthroughs – and every day is a chance for you to help make a difference.
Richmond RUNFEST takes place among some of the most attractive running areas in London with unique starts in a World Heritage Site at Kew Gardens and routes beside River Thames. The marathon and half marathon finish in Old Deer Park, where the Kid's Mile and Family Mile are held. Old Deer Park also hosts the Richmond Fitness Expo and Music and Food Festival that helps ensure the unique Richmond RUNFEST vibe is maintained.
Although there are almost nine months to Richmond RUNFEST 2018 this is an event that sells out so early entry is advised. All finishers receive bespoke medal, NIKE technical T-shirt and a free Fullers beer at the equally free music festival. Registration for Kew Gardens 10K opens on Boxing Day and there are only 200 Earlybird discounts of £5 available so don't delay, sign up today.
