The River Thames Spring Half Marathon on 4 March 2018 takes place over a flat, fast, scenic and largely traffic free course. The start and finish is at Walton Bridge, Surrey and the route follows roads and towpath to the south west of London. It is a perfect preparation event if you are running London, Southampton or Brighton marathons or you just want the challenge of completing a half marathon.
Along the route there are water stations, mile markers and plenty of friendly marshals. There is ample car parking close to the start, toilets and baggage facilities. All finishers will receive a bespoke medal and well-stocked goody bag.
Some of the reviews from the 2017 race: 'We came all the way from Swansea - we loved it!' 'Great run! We will be back.' 'Excellent race as ever (my 4th) - and much preferred the new route - see you in March!' 'Many thanks for a wonderful race - really well organised and a fab route.'
The flat course attracts runners in search of a PB or those looking to complete their first half marathon.
